Coachability is the single most important personality trait.

The best tools have strong defaults, but enough configurability to adapt to how different people actually work. Defaults should make things easy. Configuration should make them yours. Too many systems give us one without the other.

AI slop is increasingly becoming “just because you can doesn’t mean you should.” AI lets people build things they couldn’t before. Great. But now simple problems get solved with unnecessary complexity instead of boring tools that already work better. Capability != judgment.
