Today was my last day at Vercel. It was a hard decision. Vercel was not just a job. It was ZEIT. My first app, first deployment, first open source contribution. The dream opportunity to work with Next.js. It was five years. Sweating over naming, mental models, progressive disclosure. Explaining, re-explaining, iterating. It was dozens of diagrams and videos, hundreds of docs, thousands of words, endless feedback. It was the tension between craft and speed. Hype, whiplash, and growth. It was for the web. I'm thankful to Vercel for letting me be part of its journey, as much as it was a part of mine 🖤

I am about to finish reviewing 500+ CFPs across five international conferences as part of the Program Committee. One takeaway: the best submissions have a strong hook, a clear problem, a concrete solution, and a meaningful takeaway. It is that simple.

Congrats on the official X Activity API release, @XDevelopers! Some issue still remains though: Account Activity API (v2) on Pay-Per-Use: webhook is valid, CRC passes, subscription is active with RW+DM permissions, but zero events are delivered (no tweet_create_events, no favorite_events, nothing). Only CRC GETs arrive.

Do you ever think about bugs you never solved? I just remembered one I worked on for weeks, right up to my last day 9 years ago. Had to drop it at lunch to wipe my machine. Still wonder what the fix was and who ended up picking it up.

@SlackHQ we need a low-bandwidth mode in the app. I want to stay connected to my colleagues and chat with them while I am on slow legacy message-only internet during a flight.

Writing this on a flight that has free Starlink with 400mbps. Meanwhile Telekom charged me 25€ for Internet which didn’t work 95% of the time 😵‍💫

@Flighty my first name is Yi Min and my last name is Yang. Therefore I put Yi Min Yang in. However you are likely splitting by the first space character and that is wrong. I suggest you allow people to enter first and last name in separate fields to avoid this.
