## Ready for Your Story

Download a preview to your device, then choose it from your camera roll in Instagram Stories. Add your link, caption, or stickers in Instagram. On a phone, your download may appear in Files; save it to Photos before posting.

All layouts use the full-screen 9:16 Story format. Meta’s [current Instagram Stories image guide](https://www.facebook.com/business/ads-guide/image/instagram-story) recommends 1440 × 2560 pixels for image ads (checked 3 November 2026). This tool also offers 1080 × 1920\. Instagram’s controls and stickers can cover parts of a Story, so check the preview in Instagram before sharing.

The default Instagram Stories border leaves room for the top and bottom controls, following [FizzyPop’s safe-zone guide](https://fizzypop.nz/digital-marketing-insights/social-media-safe-zones/), with extra padding at the sides. Choose a border preset above the previews to apply it to all three layouts.

### Your Photos Stay Yours

Photos, filenames, crop positions, and generated images stay in this browser tab. Nothing from the editor is uploaded or saved to an account. Leaving or reloading the page clears your work. Downloads are new images without the original camera or location metadata; your originals are untouched.

Use JPEG, PNG, or WebP photos. Export HEIC and RAW files as JPEG first. Large photos are resized locally for editing. This is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta.
